What is Hair Removal by Threading?

Hair removal by threading involves using a thin, twisted cotton thread which is rolled over facial areas. Threading is used to tidy up hairlines, eyebrows and moustaches as well as other parts of the face, plucking the hair out at the follicle.

This double stranded thread is used to pick up a line of hair and then remove it, creating a very clean, precise hairline.

This hair removal technique is not just for the eyebrows: threading can be used to remove other facial and fine body hair as well.


The Benefits of Eyebrow Threading

Eyebrow threading - or Eyebrow shaping - can be used to remove a unibrow (the hair that grows above your nose in between your eyebrows), raise the arch of the eyebrow, or add shape and definition to the eyebrows.

Because threading removes hair by the follicle, the effect lasts up to 6 weeks, it is reasonably cheap, takes just a few minutes and we don't use any chemical ingredients - just a piece of cotton.

If you have eyebrow threading done frequently, the hair follicle may become damaged and the hair may stop growing from it. This means that it's possible to turn temporary hair removal into permanent hair removal.

Unlike tweezing or plucking, eyebrow threading removes one clean line of hair all at once, making it much quicker and easier to shape the eyebrows. It is also a very accurate method of removing hair.

Threading will not harm your skin. If the threading is done correctly, the skin should not be red or irritated for more than a few minutes after the eyebrow threading session.

Eyebrow Threading or Eyebrow Shaping is a very clean treatment; the only thing that touches your skin is the cotton and a new piece is used for each treatment.


Does Hair Removal by Threading hurt?

Everyone has a different pain threshold, but generally the discomfort of Eyebrow Threading is similar to removing your hair by using tweezers, but the process is much faster. Some people say they have very little pain from threading.

If you have a very low tolerance to pain, we will use a numbing spray on your eyebrows before the treatment to reduce any pain you may feel even further.

Generally people find that Hair Removal by Threading on the other parts of the face doesn't hurt at all.
